Our Founders

LebValCTA co-directors Mark Seaton and Jeff Robbins, both certified tennis instructors with decades of experience as educators, coaches, and public health advocates,  grew up playing tennis with family and friends on blacktop courts in neighborhood parks.

They founded LebValCTA, a USTA Community Tennis Association, to build on the idea that kids should not be excluded from tennis because they don’t have “enough” money, they live in the “wrong” neighborhood, or they speak the “wrong” language. Tennis should be an inclusive sport, and one that attracts athletes from all walks of life.

Jeff Robbins (pictured right) has been a resident of Lebanon County for the past
eighteen years. He is a Professor and Assistant Tennis Coach at
Lebanon Valley College. A certified tennis instructor with the USPTA, Jeff has successfully run tournaments, clinics, fundraisers, and a summer camp at the Shankroff Tennis Center and the Arnold Sports Center at LVC.  Jeff is also the president of the Green Hill Racquet Club, Cleona, PA.

Mark Seaton (pictured left) lives in Hershey, PA.  Raised in Palmyra, Mark was a 3-sport letter winner at Palmyra Area High School and currently serves as a Captain in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. As a tournament-level pickleball player, lifelong tennis player, and certified Professional Tennis and Pickleball Coach, Mark knows firsthand the benefits to physical and mental health that sports offer.  He has shared his love for tennis with his own children and many others as a coach of junior team tennis, and as a teaching professional at the Hershey Racquet Club.
